Yellow, the color stolen from the sun appears in the precious and hardest gemstone Diamond because of the presence of Nitrogen. Yellow Diamond also known as Canary Diamond though falls under the category of a colored diamond is also termed as “Fancy Colored Diamonds”.  The natural color of Diamond is colorless and is measure as D in the color spa. As it starts going towards Z the color get light yellow, the further it moves down the shade of the yellow color gets intense. This is called as the Fancy yellow or Canary Diamond colors. Hence depending on it there exits two categories of Yellow Diamond “intense” yellow diamonds and “intense fancy yellow diamonds”.
Yellow Diamond thus represent the element of fire with the powerful planet the Sun and hence has healing power representing the Planet Venus.

The largest Yellow Diamond ever found in the earth is the Kimberley Octahedron which weighs around 616 Cts when uncut and was discovered in South Africa in the Dutoitspan mine in the year 1964. It is now shares its rays of yellow color in the “Diamond Vault”. It was the 7th largest rough diamond in the world and now stand as the 14th largest.
